Batman: The Animated Series
This show was my childhood. This show was… unbelievable. It was something else. It was the best thing, the most emotionally worriesome thing.
I still cry if I pop in Mask of the Phantasm, I still need to hug my Dick plushie if I’m watching “Robin’s Reckoning,” I fundamentally changed the way I looked at Bruce’s character due to “Appointment in Crime Alley,” and nothing utterly defined my relationship with a character the way “Heart of Ice” did.
I respect and love this series so much.
I maintain that Batman Beyond got me personally invested in DC and the Batman mythos in ways that B:TAS and the Burton Batman movies did, but I owe so much to B:TAS as do the comics themselves.
